Club Menangle is Australia’s premier harness racing and events complex boasting some of the largest and most versatile facilities in Sydney’s southwest. The club operates both Trackside at Menangle Park Paceway and the new Menangle Country Club which was opened in February 2020.

Currently we are planning our reopening when COVID-19 restrictions ease and have an exciting position available for a duty manager to play an integral leadership role in shaping our new multisite operation.

We are looking for an experienced duty manager to report to the General Manager – Operations with a focus on food and customer service management. You will be required to manage all operations while on duty at our brand-new licensed club as well as race day activities in our trackside venue. This is your chance to get in at the ground level of an expanding operation where you will have your say in the direction of our hospitality product. This is a truly unique opportunity to not only play a significant role in opening a new venue but also be involved in the exciting environment of racetrack operations.

In the role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring customer service standards are always being met in line with company culture
  • Supervising food and beverage staff to ensure compliance with all their assigned duties
  • Building and developing a capable workforce to deliver quality and safe food and beverage services to our customers
  • Handling customer complaints and troubleshooting issues in line with company policies
  • Overseeing the operations across all outlets of the club
  • Taking ownership of customer issues and respond to customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Setting reasonable customer satisfaction goals and working with the team to meet them on a consistent basis

You will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Duty Manager
  • Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Experience in gaming operations

You will be required to work a rotating roster and be available Monday to Sunday. All facilities will be closed by midnight during the week and 2am on weekends yielding a fantastic work-life balance.
