What to expect in this role:

The objective of the HR/Payroll Officer position is to provide reliable and accurate HR / Payroll services to all employees and managers.  The key focus of the role is exemplary customer service through a single point of contact for HR/Payroll transactional activities.

This role will be full-time based in Osborne Park with travel to other sites as required. Duties include but not limited to

  • Provide a high level of customer service to current and potential Black Swan Health employees.
  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll (and all related activities) on a fortnightly basis.
  • End of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements in the processing of payroll.
  • Manage the Payroll and HR Inbox’s and distribute or action emails as required.
  • Coordinate and provide induction and orientation to all new employees.
  • Undertake all HR/Payroll general administration functions including the production of letters and other correspondence as required as well as confidential filing, photocopying and preparation of employee files.

What are looking for:

  1. Post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  2. 5 years’ experience (minimum) in a dual HR and Payroll based position.
  3. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to responsive high-quality customer service.
  5. Demonstrated experience in Human Resources administrative functions in a complex environment.
  6. Demonstrated experience in the use of HR/Payroll systems, including end to end payroll.
  7. Ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines.
  9. High level computer skills and a strong attention to detail
  10. Demonstrated commitment to working as part of an effective team, as well as self-motivated to work independently.
  11. Current, valid driver’s license and own vehicle.


  1. Experience in Salary Packaging
  2. Not-for-Profit or Health Industry Experience
  3. Experience in Employment Hero/Keypay (highly desirable)

Pre-Commencement Requirements:

  1. National Police Clearance
