Business Journalist

Business News, Western Australia's leading business publication is seeking an experienced, energetic and confident BUSINESS JOURNALIST to join our editorial team.

Previous experience as a JOURNALIST is required - minimum three years.  Applicants should be well-read and have a keen interest in business and current affairs, particularly in the property sphere, as well as being self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.

The successful applicant will be expected to identify, research and write in-depth analytical articles for Business News’ printed magazine, as well as breaking news for the website. They will be expected to take on some leadership duties in the medium-long term.

As a key part of the editorial team, the Commercial Property Writer will lead Business News’ coverage of major issues and trends affecting the property sector in Western Australia. However, there will also be scope to write about people and businesses across a variety of industry sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key part in the ongoing development of Business News, which has established an enviable reputation for its reporting and analysis of business issues in Western Australia. In this regard, you will work closely and collaboratively with the editor to help create a high-performance team environment with a positive, can-do approach.
