We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our collaborative and close-knit team to make an impact at the Collective Wellness Group.

About the role:

Working together with the General Counsel and the business directly:

  • Provide timely and proactive commercial, operational and regulatory advice and support to the business including Competition and Consumer Law, Data Privacy and Security, Franchising, IP and general corporate commercial
  • Provide advice and assist drafting/reviewing advertising and marketing in line with the Australian Consumer Law
  • Review, draft, advise and negotiate external vendor and supplier contracts
  • Assist with internal and external regulatory compliance
  • Timely management and resolution of disputes
  • Deliver fun and engaging internal training
  • Instruct and manage external legal providers

The candidate we're looking for will have:

  • Degree in Law
  • Successfully completed College of Law, including PLT
  • Two to five years PAE
  • Commercial, competition and consumer law experience
  • Experience in Franchising Law is advantageous
  • Ideally both in-house and private practice experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to work autonomously and ensure efficient completeness of projects
  • Strong commercial acumen and well-balanced approach to business issues
  • Ability to identify key risks and suggest appropriate commercial solutions to manage risk
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • A passion for health and wellness
