The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Program Chief Engineer to support the E-7A Wedgetail AIR5077 Phase 5A compliance upgrade program. This modification program will deliver world class contemporary airborne surveillance, communication and battle management capability to the Royal Australian Air Force. The role can be based in Brisbane or Adelaide.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of engineering leadership and direction across the AIR5077 Phase 5A technical work force

  • Engineering management system compliance

  • Ensures adherence to company and business standards of technical excellence

  • Maintains a culture of open dialogue and proactive technical oversight, risk management and rapid risk / issue resolution to prevent traveled technical risk.

  • Holder of system design authority for the AIR5077 Phase 5A program

  • Compliance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations,

Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in engineering in a structures, mechanical or electrical/electronic discipline (15+ years' experience).

  • Excellent knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulatory (DASR) Framework and experience with practical application of the DASRs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain RPEQ and CPEng.

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements, and have the avility to obtain/maintain NV2 level clearance.
