The Principal Adviser is responsible for providing high level advice, policy and operational support to the Executive Director on complex and politically sensitive matters related to the Environment, Heritage and Sustainability division. The Principal Adviser is accountable to the Executive Director for formulating strategies related to the delivery of the Environment, Heritage and Sustainability division’s objectives, leading the management of projects across the division, responding to complex and sensitive enquiries from key internal stakeholders including other Executive Directors, the Minister and Chief Executive’s office and developing strong relationships with stakeholders across the South Australian Government.  The Principal Adviser is a member of the Environment, Heritage and Sustainability division’s Senior Leadership Team.

Contracts Availiable:

  • Up to 12 months - Part-Time (0.6 FTE).

Special Conditions:

  • A current National Police Certificate is essential (for identified Positions of Trust).
  • May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
  • A flexible approach to duty hours and the taking of leave is essential.
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.

Remuneration:ASO7: $101,859 min p.a. - $110,107 max p.a.
