Payroll Officer - Part Time

The position

Reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer and part of a busy and professional HR team the Payroll Officer is responsible for assisting in the processing of the company’s weekly payroll of 700+ staff and all related payroll functions.  You will enjoy working with payroll and HRIS systems and be part of a HR team that partners with sectors of the business to provide exceptional HR/Payroll support.

You will enjoy the diversity of a range of duties from traditional payroll duties to being involved with the development of a new timekeeping system. You will have the opportunity to be part of system upgrades and improvements to the HRIS and Payroll systems.

Your duties will include:

  • End to end processing of payroll
  • Calculation and processing of all payroll end of month and related statutory requirements
  • Payroll audits and compliance
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of timekeeping systems
  • Metrics, wage and costing reporting
  • Payroll and HRIS system upgrades
  • Training of managers on the use of the timekeeping system
  • Assisting with the implementation of system changes
  • Assist with HR related projects and functions

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in an end to end payroll role
  • Advanced excel and reconciliation skills
  • Chris21 and Kronos experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

As an energetic and dedicated Payroll Officer you will have highly developed payroll knowledge and experience. You will enjoy assisting in and working collaboratively with the HR team on system projects. You will have a strong work ethic and have a sound understanding of payroll and timekeeping software packages.  This position would ideally suit an experienced and energetic individual with payroll experience who is looking to add diversity to their portfolio.
