The Role

We are looking for a suitably experienced Contract Manager (or Commercial Manager) to work across the sustainment and acquisition product streams. Core duties will include complex contract management, contract development, and the provision of commercial support and advice to ultimately deliver the capabilities required by the capability manager.

The role will span across:

  • Commercial management of the capability upgrade program and emerging projects, including scoping requirement for new capabilities, developing statements of work, tender evaluation and contract negotiation;
  • Management of sustainment contracts and contract changes;
  • Financial management across budgets and Project reviews;
  • Providing leadership and day to day management to a team of Contract Managers and Support Officers;
  • Communication and relationship management with a wide variety of stakeholders with very complex needs and systems.

About our Team

Within Air Domain, Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS) is responsible for Asset Management of the Lead-In Fighter (LIF) capability and supporting the Air Warfare Centre in the establishment of the Advanced Test and Training Environment, including:

Hawk planned withdrawal extension activities and implementation of the future Lead-In Fighter capability;

  • Establishment and evolution of the Joint Adversarial Target and Testing Services capability; and
  • Implementing an Air Combat training capability across the ADF to meet the evolving 5th Generation training environment for Air Force, Navy and Army.
