About the Position

As Industry Consultant, you will be managing a caseload of young people through targeted recruitment, quality training, character development, and sustainable employment and enrolment of AITC young people.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Education and training of young people, parents/guardians, and employers with regards to work experience. This includes the delivery and facilitation of workshops and employability skills sessions with groups of young people.
  • Negotiating, initiating and facilitating School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) sign up process.
  • Review and follow-up of Work Experience Program placements and provide feedback to young people.
  • Support the Employment and Recruitment team in the recruitment process of young people.
  • Engage both new and existing employers with AITC.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience within the employment, apprenticeship and/or vocational education and training industries.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and/or previous Industry exposure to industry safety practices.

Required qualifications:

  • Applicant must hold (or able to obtain) a current valid Working with Children Blue Card 
  • Current driver’s license and own vehicle
