Autumn Centre Assistant

Based at the City of Rockingham’s Autumn Centre, this role provides integral support to Rockingham’s over 50’s network, offering a supportive and social environment where customers pursue their personal interests and gain access to important services in a safe and happy place.

You will administer an efficient and effective membership and booking system, process and maintain receipts for payments made over the counter, online and via email, while interacting directly with members and customers over the telephone and face to face. You will be responsible for the recruitment and induction of volunteers and the maintenance of volunteer training records at the Centre.

About you, in the role

You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with seniors, people with disabilities, their carer’s and volunteers. You have previous experience in an administration/ secretarial role, coordination of volunteers and cash handling. You have well developed time management and organisation skills, with computer literacy and keyboard skills.

A current “C” class driver’s licence and Senior First Aid Certificate is essential for this role.
