Urgently Required Qualified and Experienced Cook(s) For Long established Indian Restaurants in Mid North Coast, NSW
Job Duties Includes but not limited to:-
- Must possess in depth knowledge of Traditional Indian cuisine and contents.
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Plan and price menu items.
- Must ensure efficient stock rotation.
- Must possess requisite knowledge of Ordering and estimation buffer stock levels to ensure smooth day to day knowledge of business.
- Must understand the utmost need for overall cleanliness at establishment.
- Must possess detailed knowledge of food handling and storage which includes Raw/ cooked meats/ poultry and sea foods.
- Must know how to Carve and trim meats such as beef, Lamb and chicken for service. Also know cooking of Sea food.
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Preparing and cooking food
- Seasoning food during cooking
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Look after kitchen maintenance and cleaning.
