Cyber Security Lead Analyst


Australia's leading Security Service Provider offering a complete range of professional and managed security services, cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics and incident response, GRC, penetration testing, architecture and integration/engineering for enterprise and government infrastructure projects, from strategic planning to rapid deployment and implementation.

The Lead Cyber Security Analyst will operate as a key member of a high performance cyber operations team leading a highly-skilled SOC team providing customer network infrastructure support and cyber security services to enterprise and government clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team lead and senior analyst roles in a growing cyber ops team
  • Challenging and diverse security operations role providing guidance and leadership to L1-L3 analysts and engineers.
  • Incident handling, intrusion detection and prevention, security incidents and response resolutions
  • Perform problem diagnosis and use technical expertise to develop options and solutions to technical issues, and contribute to remediation and recovery activities
  • Vulnerability scanning and analysis of customer networks advising appropriate mitigations
  • Penetration testing
  • Develop security data analytical tools to explore and detect security threats
  • SIEM, Splunk, ELK, LogRhythm, CarbonBlack, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, CyberArk, Fortinet
  • Scripting to automate tasks
  • Monitor and maintain the security of systems, web applications, enterprise PKI
  • Perform security reviews and audits on firewalls and devices
  • Review and assess security risks providing solutions or mitigations
  • Contribute to training and mentoring junior members within the security team

Skills Criteria;

  • In-depth knowledge of security technology controls including security firewalls, proxy, IDS/ IPS, DDOS, variety of SIEM including Splunk
  • Clear and concise communication skills, co-ordination and problem solving skills.
  • A high degree of professionalism and business acumen

  • Enthusiastic and motivational personality that is team focused.

  • Demonstrated passion, desire and dedication to ongoing training and development.

  • Proactive, flexible attitude to work with a willingness to constantly review and improve skills and processes

Salary Package

The successful candidate for this key role will command an industry leading base salary negotiable on experience, $130K-160K + super, + annual bonus along with all the latest tools of the trade, laptop, mobile, etc.
