The opportunity

Right now, we have a  tempporary full time opportunity for an ambitious Project Engineer to join our Regional and Outer Metropolitan team where you will be responsible for delivering road, bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or  maintenance projects in order to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives. This position will primarily be located in Yass with travel requirements across the region.

What you will be involved in

As project engineer you will manage the project process and delivery of multiple road, bridge or traffic infrastructure or maintenance projects hitting key deliverables on agreed time, cost and quality. You will be required to prepare   programs, estimates and contract documents to  ensure efficient project delivery.

In this exciting role, you will be enabled to work independently and autonomously, setting your own goals and timelines from early on and taking pride in delivering your work to the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to work on game-changing infrastructure projects that make a real difference for our customers, the people of NSW.

About you

You will be required to have a relevant four year engineering degree, and significant experience in project delivery and contract management. Previous experience on road construction and maintenance will be high advantageous. We are looking for a Project Engineer who can demonstrate a dedicated work ethic and positive attitude.

Essentially, you don’t shy away from doing hard work or making difficult decisions. Most importantly, you are team player who is solutions focused and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders to approach various challenges as they arise. You will also be required to hold a driver’s license as there will be travel involved.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is ($94,184 - $124,862) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
