Tell me more…. This project management position is tasked for the development of a “Pop-up” model of palliative care delivery to the small rural and remote communities of Cape York and Torres Strait. The role will incorporate a broad consultation phase (assisted by Indigenous Liaison Officers) with community members, other service providers, other health care providers (RFDS, Apunipima, NPAFACS) and staff of the TCHHS.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and appreciation of the cultural sensitivities with respect to death and the needs of dying patients and their communities.
  • Recognised clinical experience in provision of palliative care services.

  • Total Remuneration value up to $143 881 comprising salary between $120 856 - $126 105 p.a (HP5)

  • Total Remuneration value up to $143,803 comprising slalary between $116,092 - $126,037 p.a (NRG7)

  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%)

  • Salary packaging option to increase your take home pay

Requirements for the role:

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Health Practitioner, and current practising certificate is mandatory.
