Team Leader - Feedmill | Clyde


Purpose of this role

This position play a vital role in coaching and leading our team, whilst coordinating and executing various department functions.

We are looking for upbeat, articulate and inclusive leaders within our Feedmill Division, based at our Clyde site.

Hours of work

This hands-on role offers a Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm roster.

Accountabilities

  • Coach and develop the Feedmill team to ensure they have the capability to meet the performance goals
  • Report on operations and general work planning
  • Both a hands on and leadership role
  • Establish, communicate and monitor safety standards and lead corrective action in areas of high risk
  • Processing and inspecting poultry feed safely and systematically, according to quality specification
  • Execute the site’s plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines and allocating resources appropriately

Skills required

  • Experience in a high volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position. Experience in food manufacturing and/or stock feed production will be highly regarded
  • Forklift license required
  • Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team
  • Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people
  • A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge
  • Ability to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles
  • Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite
  • Requiring to comply with a strict uniform
  • Good level of fitness are required as you will manually handle up to 15 kg
