Plant And Equipment Manager


Transform your career alongside exciting world-class attractions at Crown Perth. We’re searching for a suitably experienced Plant & Equipment Manager to showcase their skills and be part of the dynamic experience.
Working as part of our Property Services team you will report into the Building Services Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment throughout the complex. This will include mechanical and refrigeration systems together with the management of technologies associated with the Building Automation System (BAS). Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Directly manage planned and preventative maintenance and attend to breakdowns as required
  • Management of the Building Automation System to ensure cost effective operation of plant and equipment
  • Coordinate labour and resources to ensure efficiency of work while monitoring performance of contractors, and regular reviews of contract arrangements
  • Develop and document regular performance reports to track reliability, costs of work, outstanding issues and completion of works
  • Plan and implement capital projects where necessary
  • Communicate effectively to ensure correctness in operation issues and pro-active approach toward our internal / external customers to ensure that all repairs and maintenance support is in place during business periods
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Mechanical trade qualification or at least five years’ experience in an equivalent role
  • Experience in central plant Chilled water systems & Cooling Tower water treatment essential
  • Experience in Air Handling and Fan Coil Unit maintenance essential
  • Steam Boiler experience desirable
  • Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering desirable
  • Previous experience in a large complex commercial or operational/industrial environment
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • People management experience including management of contracts and contractors
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively with various levels of an organisation
  • Demonstrable problem solving ability in order to ascertain equipment failures
  • Fiscal management skills and experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain a National Police Clearance Certificate.
