Position: Medical Receptionist

Location: Port Macquarie 

Are you an experienced medical receptionist looking for an exciting long-term opportunity with a specialist practice in Port Macquarie?

The successful candidate must have exceptional customer service skills. You will be the face of the practice, maintaining the highest quality administrative and reception duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting patients
  • Exceptional customer service, answering incoming calls and assisting patients with enquiries
  • Managing and scheduling of appointments
  • Maintaining patient records
  • Responsible for the day to day reception, scanning, billing, and patient invoicing
  • General administrative duties
  • Liaising with doctors, staff, and other allied health professionals
  • Managing internal and external correspondence

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years medical reception experience ​(desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work flow
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional, patient and courteous telephone manner
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience with Practice Management Software (Essential) (Genie Desirable)
  • Neat and professional presentation
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Be motivated and self-driven, with a high level of discretion​
