About NSW Telco Authority
The NSW Telco Authority is working with government agencies and other partners to design and build the next generation of critical operational communications services to better serve and NSW communities.

The Telco Authority has received significant government investment to deliver major programs including a public safety network (the Critical Communications Enhancement Program), Regional Digital Connectivity and NSW Mobile Black Spot program. We also play a key role in the development of a national Public Safety Mobile Broadband capability.

The NSW Telco Authority operates as a standalone Statutory Authority within the Department of Customer Service. Our environment is fast-moving with collaboration and culture being key to our success.

About the Role
The NSW Telco Authority is currently looking for a Manager Strategic Communications This role will be responsible for leading a team in the development, delivery and implementation of effective communication strategies, solutions, products and services to optimise outcomes for NSW Telco Authority.

Key accountabilities will include:
  • Lead the development, delivery and implementation of an ongoing program of targeted communication services across the areas of internal communications and engagement; advertising campaigns, branding, content creation, channel strategy, social and traditional media engagement, issues management and thought leadership, in accordance with divisional priorities.
  • Lead engagement with business areas to understand priorities and issues, negotiate and influence outcomes, and to apply communications insight and strategy to business and project planning.
  • Stay abreast of government obligations, together with current insights, practices and capability in order to be able to provide contemporary strategic communications advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with specialist expertise across Corporate Affairs to ensure that best practice is applied and that clients receive a seamless and integrated communications service

About you
To be successful in this position you will be an experienced communication professional with previous experience in a similar role. You have strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to foster effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
You are an experienced leader with experience in developing and mentoring staff

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $128,089 base plus superannuation
