About your team...
The Service Design Team
is responsible for ensuring that all products and services are designed with people at heart. The team is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a passionate and highly engaging Design Practitioner to lead human centred design projects and work closely with all internal stakeholders to create products and services that customers will love, remember and talk about.
About your role...
In this fast-paced and varied function, you will be contributing to many aspects of the creative process, always ensuring that the voice of the customer is represented and respected. You will be able to move from insights to ideas, creatively solve complex problems and thread design and business thinking together in order to deliver inventive, durable and thoughtful solutions.
We want to utilise your creative mindset and ability to utilise design standards and best practices to help others see problems from a different perspective and balance customer empathy and creative skill with commercial awareness.
Additionally, your advanced communication, narration and storytelling skills will be on show as you convey ideas and concepts that bring product ideas to life (e.g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc).
What does success look and sound like?
Proven Service Design and extensive grounding in Design Thinking;
- Able to execute People-centred Design methodologies;
- Extensive experience working in cross functional creative teams with default ability to foster strong collaboration and co-creation within the organisation.
- The ability to strongly engage with, influence and win the support of senior executives;
Proven experience collaborating with Product Owners and Agile Coaches to design new experiences that drive business value;
Experience working in an Agile environment – where we take it on, grow & value every voice;
- Proven ability to conduct ethnographic research and uncover underlying human needs and expectations in a short amount of time;
Strong innovation & influencing skills to identify ideas to make a step-change in the customer experience;
- The ability to develop prototypes of future experiences to test with customers and incorporate their feedback; &
Significant Service Design experience across diverse channels and business areas including digital, retail, call centre, supply chain, IT.
