About the role

The primary purpose of this important role is to assist with the growth and retention of AMP’s retail suite of banking products via the provision of a range of support services to Business Development Managers, and by developing and maintaining relationships with mortgage brokers and fixed income brokers.

Key Responsibilities

  • As part of the Sales Support team responsibilities include:
  • Proactively managing the new business pipeline to maximise opportunities
  • Managing and facilitating outcomes to BDM and broker queries via phone and email
  • Assisting with pricing, fee negotiations and MDAs
  • Liaising with bank operations, credit and other departments to drive new and additional business completion
  • Escalations and valuation follow ups
  • Assisting with broker and adviser complaint management and resolution
  • Co-ordinating business development events and client functions

Capabilities & Experience

  • 2-3 years in financial services – Customer Service, Banking, Product or Financial Services Licensee (other experience in financial services considered)
  • Experience working in a sales environment within financial services preferred
  • Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the Australian financial services industry with knowledge banking products
  • RG146 (previously PS146) compliant (or working towards qualification) preferred
