About the Role Provide clinical mental health interventions and care coordination to people with a mental health disorder to improve their health, well-being and quality of life.
Assess, plan, implement, facilitate and evaluate mental health care in collaboration with individuals, their families and carers, other health care agencies and multidisciplinary mental health teams to achieve quality consumer care outcomes.
Provide interventions in a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated approach within a recovery-orientated framework consistent with the NSW Mental Health Act. About Applying
To apply, you need to be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an appropriate work visa.
Selection Criteria to be addressed:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse registered with AHPRA, Psychologist registered with AHPRA, Occupational Therapist registered with AHPRA and Social Worker Level 1 or 2 (where degrees provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers).
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of people presenting with acute mental health disorders.
  • Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act and related legislation.
  • Understanding of recovery oriented care with demonstrated ability to meaningfully collaborate with consumers and their family and carers regarding mental health service provision.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable), or equivalent. Willingness to use for work purposes and may include driving long distances across the LHD.
  • Computer competency including demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems used in Health setting
