Field Site Attendant


About the Role

The objective of the position is to ensure that TOMRAs reverse vending machine installations are clean and litter free, within a specified geographic area to ensure maximum up-time and customer satisfaction. As part of the RVM Field Site Attendant Team, you will be the link between Cleaners and Technicians and will carry knowledge across both. You will be required to interface with our partners (shopping centres who host the installations) and also to travel extensively within Sydney and occasionally to regional NSW.

Whilst you will visit the TOMRA Sydney office and warehouse occasionally for administration and to collect spare equipment, you will mainly work on the road extensively. We are looking for a number of people spread around Sydney and greater Sydney Basin (Northern Beaches, Eastern Creek, Campbelltown, Baulkham Hills, Fairfield, Eastern Suburbs).

TOMRA will provide a vehicle, required tools, equipment and training.

Duties would include, but not limited to:

  • Preventative Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintaining and cleaning installed equipment including scheduled visits
  • Reporting on service assignments and faults (online and/or paper)
  • Attending to some occasional call-outs outside your area and attending to call-outs outside business hours as and when required
  • Providing excellent customer service to our partners (including shopping centre staff) and to members of the public
  • Manage and control tools, maintenance documentation and other assigned equipment
  • Cleaning of kiosks and surrounding areas, cleaning and removing customer litter and ensuring that debris are not preventing smooth operation
  • Ensuring your equipment, spares and van kit is always complete
  • Analysing areas of potential improvement of processes and report to local service team
  • Staying informed and up to date with TOMRA’s RVMs and products

The person we are seeking should have:

  • Passion for TOMRA’s values to ensure we are the best we can be
  • Experience in a similar maintenance and cleaning positions
  • Experience interacting face to face with customers; must be personable; have very good customer service skills; be able to maintain relationships with TOMRA staff, customers and partners
  • Unrestricted drivers licence; must be capable of and willing to drive for extended periods; must be able to effectively navigate to and from RVM locations
  • Applicants must be able to lift and move heavy objects and be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong awareness of safety procedures and practices in previous positions (previous training in workplace safety practices well regarded)
  • Past history demonstrating: professionalism, the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, reliability, and a sense of pride in what they do
  • Ability to work on a rostered system

Note:

  • A latest driving history record from RMS will be required for this job.
  • As part of the recruitment process successful candidates will be required to go through a pre-employment medical test
