Intermediate Accountant Business Services & Tax


The role entails playing an integral part in providing tax and business advisory services to our client base of SME business and individual clients.

Gartly Advisory offers a range of tax compliance activities for our expanding client base including, preparation of tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF's, FBT, GST and income tax advice, state tax advice, BAS preparation, financial statement preparation and structuring advice.

Equally important to the technical aspects of the role is an ability to develop and maintain client relationships. This entails a good understanding of XERO, MYOB & Quickbooks in order to adequately assist clients solve their accounting problems. The role includes problem-solving, Bas and tax preparation and general accounting services.

You will be working with a small team that has a twenty-year track record working with a broad range of clients, delivering the best tax outcomes in the above areas.

The role is full or part time based in Ormond.

The Candidate must:

· have at least three years of public practice experience

· have experience in using Sage Handisoft Software

· be proficient at preparing taxation returns for individuals, trusts and companies

· be skilled at preparing Bas Returns

· assist with ongoing advice for XERO, MYOB and Quickbooks as requested by clients

· have General knowledge of payroll administrative tasks

The right Candidate will need to be degree qualified (CA or CPA preferred), have ambition and respect.

A 'can do' attitude and willingness to listen, follow systems and carry out tasks promptly.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
