This Federal Government Department is currently working on the forefront of health and wellbeing for Australians during this time. Consequently the Ministerial and Parliamentary Section have an increased workload resulting in a need for assistance.

Your new role
Your new role as Ministerial Officer within a highly sought after division will see you working in a fast paced operation team. Your duties will include:

  • Workflow and track parliamentary documents through the PDMS.
  • Assisting with monitoring the team Inbox, including providing timely advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in managing the day to day responsibilities of the team
  • Dispatching correspondence
  • Develop and maintain business contacts across the Department
  • Assisting in the allocation of incoming correspondence to the appropriate areas of the Division.
  • Provision of administrative support to the team.

What you'll need to succeed
Weekly and monthly reporting is a part of regular duties therefore an understanding of how to register ministerial submissions, progress them through the workflow and follow up any overdue material is essential.

As the successful applicant you will have the ability to demonstrate high level organisational skills, judgment and initiative to meet tight deadline, you will demonstrate flexibility and resilience to work under pressure and have analytical and problem solving skills.
A working knowledge of PDMS is necessary for this role.

You must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance or higher.
