About Them:

Our client is a leading contractor with a strong project pipeline and a reputation for delivering quality residential and commercial projects. Due to them securing an exciting, new project they are seeking an experienced Contract Adminstrator to join their Sydney business.

The Role:
The primary responsibilities are to ensure that all Project Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Contract Administration, Cost Control, Quality Management and Site Coordination duties are effectively fulfilled in a timely manner, so as to ensure that the Senior Management of the Company is fully aware of all construction, contractual and contracting risks associated with each relevant project.

Your Day to Day:
  • Ensure that construction works proceed in accordance with all relevant contractual requirements
  • Ensure that the financial position of the company is maximised
  • Ensure that safe working and environmentally sound conditions are maintained on all relevant projects, and
  • Ensure that quality levels are achieved, in accordance with the contractual obligations.
  • Overall coordination and responsible for activities and tasks associated with the development of overall planning and programming.
  • Follow instruction and guidance from the Project Manager.
  • Assist design with build ability input.
  • Preparation and monitoring of quality assurance procedures.
  • Establish on site controls and recording procedures for delays.
  • Supervision and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the project documentation, and HSE and quality requirements.
  • Administration of subcontractor's progress claims, variation claims and extensions of time claims.
  • Develop an understanding of the company's systems and controls and implement in day to day operations.
  • Subcontract management and subcontract administration, including assistance in preparation of monthly final forecast cost estimates (FFC's) for trade packages. Review of major variation and monthly trade FFC's with Project Team.
  • Develop an understanding of the company's systems and controls and implement in day to day operations.
  • Identify detailed project risks and issues and raise them to appropriate levels.
  • Prepare site reports and administration.
  • Assist in procurement of subcontractors and suppliers within discipline(s) by:
o Review of tender design;
o Preparation of scope and technical documentation;
o Preparation of S/C tender list;
o Management of tender process;
o Vetting and recommending tenders; and
o Engaging subcontractors.

  • Preparation of scopes of works for subcontract and trade packages for selected Tenders.
  • Preparationand issue of tender packages for Tenders.
  • Vetting subcontract quotations fortender.
  • Generally provide support to the overall business as required.
Sydney Office and General
  • Generaladministrative and support services to Senior Management.

The Candidate
  • 3-5 years + as a Contract Adminstrator
  • Experience with JOBPAC is essential
  • Exeprience across large residential projects
  • Abiltity to work autonomously
  • Can do attitude
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Strong leadership skills
