Position Description: This is an exciting opportunity to establish a career in Finance and join our Brisbane team as a Finance Assistant.

We are currently seeking a highly driven Finance Assistant to join our team in a full time or part time capacity. This role would be ideally suited to someone in their final year of study/recently graduated or alternatively someone with existing bookkeeping experience and looking for an opportunity where they can truly make a mark on their role and the business, whilst being provided opportunities to develop further across the broader finance discipline.


About this role:

The Finance Assistant provides support to the Finance Director and is responsible for the timely processing and delivery of financial information to other relevant parties as required. Assisting with month end task and reports, bank and journal reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable and liaise with third parties in relation to payments and other related issues, resolving issues as they arise.


Position Requirements: Skills and Experience:
  • Accounting background
  • Work experience as Finance Assistant/Finance Officer or similar role
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • High level of IT literacy including intermediate Excel skills and knowledge of MS Office, along with demonstrated ability to learn other programs quickly
  • Experience in tax payments (GST, Payroll Tax, FBT)
  • Previous use of SAP (preferred by not essential)
