Cabinet Services Officer

About the Team

To provide business enabling people and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture and to support integrated operations.

About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for managing the department's Cabinet business. It is also responsible for providing specialist advice to the Ministers' offices, the Secretary, Executives and senior staff on Cabinet processes and protocols.

About You

This role will involve your experience to:

  • Provide support for the department's Cabinet, Cabinet Committees and legislative processes, including coordinating and preparing documents and maintaining sound records management of confidential and sensitive material.
  • Liaise with and provide advice to senior departmental staff, Minister's offices, other Victorian Government Departments and particularly the central agencies of the Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Department of Treasury and Finance on all DoT related Cabinet and Cabinet Committee matters.
  • Ensure the department's Cabinet in Confidence (CIC) material is of a high quality and meets internal and DPC compliance requirements in regard to timeframes and format.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships for gathering and disseminating information within DoT, Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministers' Offices and other government departments.
  • Conntinually update and improve internal processes that enhance capacity to deliver an effective and efficient service.
