In this role you’ll manage a mixed portfolio of claims which may include income protection, total and permanent disability, death, terminal illness, trauma and business expense claims. You’ll manage claims and stakeholder engagement from assessment to determination and enjoy working autonomously to manage technically complex claims, leveraging your understanding of the relevant legislations and guidelines.
You’ll have experience within a life insurance claims role specifically managing Retail Income Protection. You will also have training in medical terminology or an allied health/medical based course. You’ll have comprehensive knowledge of medical, legal, product and regulatory issues as well as claims management tools. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will stand you in good stead as you communicate with diverse audiences using appropriate methods and language.
