The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for Road Designers in Training to join our Engineering Services team within Transport for NSW.  

As a Road Designer in Training you will be involved with the preparation of road designs for major road infrastructure projects. With support from experienced designers you will contribute to the management of technical risk in road design to improve design outcomes.  

You will be working full time for Transport for NSW for four years while completing Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) with Western Sydney University, The College online.

What we Offer 

  • Our Trainee Program is a four year program that combines full time paid work and part time study. 
  • You will gain on the job practical experience working on road design projects whilst completing your Associate Degree (Civil) in partnership with Western Sydney University. 
  • There will be potential for a career with NSW Transport once you complete the program.
  • The salary for this position is USS 2 - 3 ($54,801 - $63,093) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.

You are self-motivated, committed and collaborative individual who is able to analyse, research and solve problems, supported by effective oral and written communication capabilities.
