Registered Nurse (Student Midwife)

Candidates for this role must be enrolled in a postgraduate Midwifery Course.

This part-time temporary position offers a paid clinical placement whilst undertaking the training.

About your opportunity
This is a temporary part-time position for up to 12 months, 56 hours per fortnight (Commencing May or July 2021).

This role will enable Registered Nurses enrolled in an Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) accredited postgraduate midwifery program to gain clinical experience in a maternity setting, within a partnership model of supervision, in support of their theoretical learning.

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the requirements of the training programme including the midwifery experience is required.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • 12 months post-graduate Registered Nurse experience.
  • Acceptance, or ability to apply for a suitable Postgraduate midwifery university program.

Generous pro rata remuneration package value up to $6559 p.m. comprising salary range of $36.55 to $46.88 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation.
