We are looking for a highly experienced and competent Senior Medical Receptionist (2IC) or Practice Manager to join a busy and dynamic medical centre based north of the River.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate ‘people orientated’ Practice Manager to join a busy and dynamic general practice. You’ll love patient interaction and delivering outstanding customer service whilst supporting and managing a successful team.

The Opportunity:

This position is permanent full-time with an immediate start, working a minimum of 30 hours and up to 38 hour per week.

On a daily basis you will be responsible to:

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the practice to deliver an outstanding patient experience
  • Be the face of the practice and build strong relationships with your patients
  • Manage reception and administration staff for performance enhancement and best practice
  • Work closely with the GP’s, Psychologist, RN’s and EN
  • Coordinating rosters to ensure adequate cover at all time
  • Administration duties and reception cover
  • Processing all Medicare billing, batching, coding and allocating items numbers with a 100% accuracy at all times
  • Providing computer support to all staff i.e. fixing printer jams, troubleshooting basic technical issues with computers and assisting with MS Office queries
  • Processing payments from patients (including eftpos) along with medical insurance payments and bulk billing
  • Ensuring that all compliance, procedures and processes are followed accurately at all times
  • General bookkeeping and daily/ weekly banking reconciliations, must have experience with MYOB

Key Criteria:

  • Practice Management experience, three or more years in a busy practice
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Experience with processing payroll
  • Experience with MYOB software
  • Must have advanced skills in Best Practice software
  • Ability to lead and motivate the administration team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administration experience is compulsory gained within a medical practice especially with the billing of patients
  • Available to commence ASAP
