My client is a global leader in testing and diagnostics.

  • Design, develop and test software in compliance with the applicable sections of the LBS Quality Management System
  • To deliver SW and testing solutions to enable efficient verification/validation
  • To contribute to best practice for SW development
  • To assist in defining the team's technical strategy and advising on product roadmaps and migration plans to achieve strategic goals
  • To write concise yet comprehensive technical documentation
  • To liaise with the product manager and architects to explore and suggest appropriate technical solutions to verify the required product features as well as monitoring technical progress against plans. While safeguarding functionality, scalability, performance and quality.
  • To be responsible for work quality, ensuring it meets the relevant technical and regulatory standards.
  • To monitor work against the production schedule closely and provide progress updates and report any issues or technical difficulties to the senior team on a regular basis
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and/or related code and test results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and hardware/software problems.
  • Research and evaluate a variety of hardware/software tools or products
  • Lead cross-functional teams in verification activities
  • Provide domain support consultancy to other business units within the LBS group
  • A Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Software Development including exposure to the full software development life cycle.
  • Experience with general SW development methodologies and techniques ie. UML, UnitTesting, design principles, documentation.
  • Strong experience with C and C++.
  • Fluency with development for image capturing devices and integrating them into larger scale devices (e.g. barcode scanners).

  • Show sound experience in working on RTOS, developing for microprocessors (e.g. STM32F series) and the associated toolchain.

  • Demonstrate understanding of image processing problem domain and SW development approaches and toolchain (e.g. OpenCV) associated with it.

  • Own the SW embedded development process for a distinctive small part of the instrument.
