Partnering with the business, you’ll not only assist with month end and year-end financial activities but also be part of a team supporting the continuous improvement of processes and empowering each other to cover the many aspects of financial and corporate accounting As a trusted finance advisor, you will be responsible for providing analysis, advice and support to the business on a range of issues, including procurement and debtor management, business planning, budgets, assets, rating and accounting.
By maintaining a customer focus throughout all services, you will create, maintain and enhance the relationships with key stakeholders ensuring that information flows are accurate and knowledge is gained within the finance area. You will also lead a small team with a focus on accounts receivable, debtor management, names and addresses, property and rates. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and aspiring individual to join a team of finance professionals that is focussed on a change journey.
The Position also has secondary Responsibilities and Accountabilities as may be required to support and assist other staff within their own Department and/or other business operation areas of Council, as may be directed within the employee’s scope of skills and capabilities.
