Administration Officer


Position Summary

  • 12 Months Contract | Part Time 48 hrs fortnight

We’re seeking an experienced administrator to join our team in Cairns Community Care!

This is a fast paced and busy role but will give you the opportunity to manage and learn a whole variety of tasks and duties to keep your day varied and challenging.

As a key support role to the delivery of our services, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are run efficiently and our clients receive an exceptional experience! As our Administration Officer, you will:

  • Manage the Reception area; being the first point of contact for internal and external customers via phone, email and in person
  • Manage, action and escalate where necessary requests, concerns and enquiries
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information in financial, human resource and other Blue Care systems and databases
  • Support hiring and on-boarding administrative activities for your service/s
  • Use mainstream software including the Microsoft Office Suite and database applications (Intermediate – Advanced skills required)
  • Assist senior staff with special projects as required
  • Mange the service fleet vehicles process; liaising with debtors and processing invoices
  • Ad hoc administration tasks and minute taking as required

What you’ll need:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Great time-management skills and an ability to prioritise your workload in a busy environment
  • Intermediate computer skills particularly with MS Excel and Database applications
  • Confidence with smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills 
  • Qualifications, skills and experience in Administration or Business is not essential but highly desirable
