Job Profile Summary

Responsible for delivering the indirect sales strategy and financial performance targets including Sales Volume, Gross Margin and Overdue, managing local distributor partners and intermediaries/resellers in the sales territory or geography, finding prospect partners, coaching distributors and monitoring their financial position to ensure long term sustainable value for the company. The scope of the role will influence the grade – this can include financial accountability, geographical scope, leadership responsibilities and overall level of responsibility.

About the opportunity

This role manages a portfolio of customers and new prospects within a defined sales geography. The role is accountable for delivering Volume, Turnover, CPL and GM Profit targets including Overdue targets. Identifying and developing new prospect customers with a high degree of Sales conversions.

This role offers flexibility with a working from home option – to be based in either the Loddon Campaspe or Goulburn regions, with an expectation of 4 days on the road per week. (Subject to Victorian COVID-19 Lockdown restrictions)

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Deliver financial performance targets for the Accounts within territory
  • Execute prospecting strategy for the territory, including data gathering, competitor and market knowledge, stakeholder and relationship management and tender/offer processes.
  • Promote long term growth by developing prospect customers and provide regular updates to the Salesforce database
  • Manage customer business reviews to communicate and prove value delivery and reinforce relationships.
  • Improve and deliver customer experience in territory. Ensure delivery of our promises by seeking continuous improvement and efficiency in all operations making sure the voice of the customer is represented in every decision we make.
  • Drive standardisation of our sales offers in line with our basic customer offer by following a disciplined approach.
About you

To be successful, you will ideally be an experienced Account Manager with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, proactive and demonstrated prior experience in the following areas:

  • Previous experience within Account Management and sales
  • Experience within a B2B sales management experience with lubricants background would be desirable
  • Ability to develop and build meaningful relationships
  • Live in Central / Northern Victoria (Loddon, Campaspe or Goulburn region ) (only candidates who reside in this region will be considered for the role)
