St John of God Bendigo Hospital has an exciting opportunity available for a suitably experienced Registered Nurse with a genuine passion in progressing their career into ward management to support the Nurse Unit Manager in leading a dynamic team of Caregivers as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in the Day Procedure Unit.
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) you will manage the day to day running of this fast paced unit,   assisting in the overall clinical management of the ward. You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by junior staff in accordance with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia Scope of Practice, and deputizes for and assists the Nursing Unit Manager.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards this.
The Position will be offered on a Permanent Part Time Basis, offering up to 76 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will have:

  • Currently registered with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical skills with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in perioperative nursing.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability and thereby require minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant acts, codes and standards relevant to current practice.
