The Statewide Infant Hearing – Screening (SWIS-H) Program has a vacancy of 5 hours per week. It is a service requirement that you are able to work every Saturday morning. The potential to assist with supporting staff during the week if required would be appreciated, however not essential for this position.

Where you'll be working
The successful applicant will work at either Royal North Shore Hospital or Sydney Adventist Hospital each Saturday, however you may be required to work in any facility within Northern Sydney Local Health District.
What you'll be doing
The screening of all newborns across the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) using Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR) equipment. To provide initial and subsequent hearing screening of newborn infants and contact with parents. It entails working in clinical settings that may include a ward/special care nursery or outpatient department. The Screener gathers and accuratley records clinical and screening information relevant to the hearing screening process and communicates the results to parents and appropriate niursing/medical staff. on-site training will be offered to the successful applicants. The Hearing Screening position is part-time.
