Ambulance Victoria's (AV) Operational Capability Division has recently been undergoing an exciting transformation designed to improve ambulance response to the Victorian community and the health, wellbeing and capability of staff.
The primary function of the Administrative Support Officer, Patient Transport & First Responder Continuing Education (PT&FRCE) is to provide effective and efficient administrative support relating to the Patient Transport & First Responder Continuing Education function.
About the role
The responsibilities of this ongoing, part-time role (25 hours/week) based in Ballarat, will include, but are not limited to:
Candidates will have demonstrated, substantial experience and expertise in providing secretarial and administrative support within a large organisation or department and though a Certificate IV in Administration or Business would be advantageous, it is not considered essential. With proven experience in using computerised financial information systems, word processing and spread sheeting applications, candidates should also have intermediate to advanced computer skills in the Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel) and have proficient typing skills.
Candidates will require strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional time management, planning and organising skills, as well as a high degree of attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
Finally, candidates will have the ability to work well as a member of a team, or autonomously with a high degree of maturity.
The successful candidate must also hold a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria if/when required.

The salary range for this position is $65,995 to $69,666 plus 9.5% superannuation (pro-rata).
