During your traineeship, you’ll be employed by us, while completing on-the-job with HVTC Hunter in our Rutherford office. We’ll provide you with ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and unleash your true potential.

What you’ll be doing… 

You will complete a Certificate III Business Administration over 12 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:  

  • Meet and greet visitors and maintain visitor register systems
  • Be the first point of contact for telephone calls and general inquiries
  • Coordinate completion of incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Support coordination of room bookings, preparation, cleaning and catering of meetings
  • Stock take and ordering of office consumables
  • Reception and general administration tasks
  • Daily housekeeping and cleaning duties

What you’ll bring to the table 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to meet the following selection criteria: 

  • Comfortable working with computers and technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to deliver strong customer service and go above and beyond for others
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Confidence to handle challenging situations and resolve inquiries in a calm manner
  • Commitment to full term of traineeship and study requirements
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks

It will also help if you have:

  • Experience in an administrative based role or a customer facing role
