Customer Development Manager - Coles

Mars Food have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Development Manager to join their team. This critical role will be responsible for delivering both sustainable & profitable sales growth through creation and execution of joint business plans in the specific categories of Indian and Asian as well as being the Account Manager for specific Coles online and Digital plans.

You will also act as a support in coordinating the total Coles channel activation plans, including development of point of sales (POS), customer representation, field communication and post analysis in consultation with the National Account Managers and Customer Development Leads.

What are we looking for?

  • Field sales and account management experience preferably in Grocery;
  • Knowledge of the principles of category, promotional effectiveness and commercial understanding to drive category growth;
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage insights into action to meet company and customer objectives;
  • Ability to build influential relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders;
  • Ability to assess needs, propose mutually beneficial solutions, overcome objections, and close the sale;
  • Willingness and curiosity to understand and build greater digital execution with Coles.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement specific Coles online plans to execute in line with our digital strategy;
  • Develop accurate and timely forecasts using a variety of inputs from both a consumption and shipment perspective;
  • Lead the development and execution of customer specific solutions (assortment, merchandising, pricing and promotion);
  • Managing the activation calendar for both digital and instore activations;
  • Leverage insights to influence customers to implement solutions and identify new opportunities that will deliver mutually beneficial results.
  • Build exceptional internal and customer relationships to champion the voice of the customer.
