We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Mechanic to join our Major Works Division within Sydney Trains. This position is responsible for carrying out various plant maintenance activities on mobile and stationary plant equipment in accordance with relevant Sydney Trains, SafeWork NSW, WH&S and Environmental Regulations.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding and breakdowns of heavy on track machinery, specialised rail machinery, general earthmoving equipment and small specialist rail plant and machinery.
Sydney Trains are looking for an enthusiastic candidates with technical knowledge of plant and machinery and the ability to troubleshoot a range of different mechanical/electrical systems and faults.
Candidates with a plant mechanic or automotive electrical background with experience in hydraulics and/or pneumatics will be highly regarded. The Role will be working according to a roster which will include nights, weekends and away work.

You will need to hold current Trade Certificate for Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter Machinist or Auto Electrician.
