The role
MessageMedia is recruiting for a Demand Generation Manager (Mid-Market) to join their team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of successful AU demand generation programs designed to ramp mid-market acquisition growth. The perfect candidate for this role would be someone who has a growth marketing mindset and demonstrated success acquiring new business in a B2B environment.

Key responsibilities of the Demand Generation Manager will include:

  • Understanding the AU sales strategy (market needs, customers, target segments, use cases, and competition) to develop marketing plans and a calendar of programs to hit sales targets.
  • Developing, agreeing, tracking, and reporting on AU mid-market measures (leads, opportunities/pipeline, gross profit, etc), optimizing the end-to-end funnel with a test-and-learn mindset.
  • Building and nurturing a mid-market prospect database with a focus on targeted vertical- and account-based marketing strategy.
  • Managing the planning, development, and execution of Australian based marketing campaigns, initiatives, and events end-to-end.
  • Running webinars for lead generation and pipeline progression purposes, and host or coordinate attendance for targeted meet ups and industry / partner events.
  • Working with sales to identify and leverage existing customers for strong stories and proof points in acquisition campaigns.
  • Identifying and developing co-marketing opportunities with industry partners and/or associations, executing marketing programs that are mutually beneficial.
  • Working closely with the digital team to execute on web and advertising opportunities to hit AU inbound mid-market demand generation targets, and ensure the segment has a clear path to education and conversion on the website.
  • Creating sales tools and training materials that enable the sales team to convert mid-market program demand into sales, such as demo scripts, objection handling, etc.
  • Developing or repurposing impactful content that generates interest and converts mid-market prospects to leads. This includes blogs, emails, SMS, landing pages, webinars, and other material as needed.

About you
To be the successful candidate, you will need to have at least 7 years' experience in a similar role. You will also have demonstrated experience running marketing programs centred around B2B mid-market vertical plays and account-based marketing strategies – everything from defining target segments and value propositions to leveraging digital and offline activities to drive measurable demand and effective sales conversion. Strong networking and leadership skills PLUS the ability to partner closely with sales and influence multiple stakeholders is a must for this role.
