PROJECT MANAGER – CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE

An opportunity exists for a project management professional to join Armidale Regional Councils Asset Management & Strategic Planning Team during an exciting period of infrastructure growth; we are looking for a vibrant, dynamic individual to join our team for a two year fixed term.

Applications are being requested for a Project Manager- Civil Infrastructure who will be responsible for providing high quality, innovative and practical civil engineering services.

What you will need to succeed.

  • Prepare and manage projects for a number of infrastructure areas which may include; CBD revitalisation initiatives, bridge replacements, traffic facilities, playgrounds and recreational upgrades, village improvements, building, facility and aquatic new builds and upgrades.
  • Ensure the delivery of designated construction works on time within budget and to the required engineering standard.
  • Administer, supervise and manage contracts through stages of procurement, award, construction, defects liability and maintenance periods for construction and maintenance projects.
  • Conduct project planning meetings prior to, during and following construction to ensure contractor performance is in accordance with specifications and plans.
  • Key stakeholder engagement, communications, management and reporting for external funding bodies.

This is a full time role that currently provides a salary range from $1623.09 to $1825.86 dependent upon the successful incumbent’s qualifications and experience plus superannuation along with the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight.
