ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is at the centre of the National Energy Market, facilitating the trade between Australia's three largest states along the east coast. Our client operates and manages the high voltage transmission network connecting generators, distributors, and major end users.

Our client is seeking a project coordinator to join the team within Workforce Management/Enterprise Asset Management program in the IT/Operations Domain for a contracted period of 18 months.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day to day assistance in management and governance of financial monitoring, reporting and compliance for IT Projects
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
  • Organising, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Project Administration
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
  • Maintain project risk and issue registers and participate in reviews.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for financial and contract expenditure
  • Procurement activities - raise purchase requisitions, payment of invoices
  • Assist Project Managers with forecasting activities and benefits management
  • Assist Project Managers with project transaction reporting and submit adjustments to finance as required
  • Reporting - Prepare project status reports and presentations
  • Assist in preparing monthly accruals
  • Ad hoc reporting as required
  • Identify potential improvements in project financial reporting

REQUIRED SKILL SETS:

To competently perform the tasks of this job you will need to demonstrate the following experiences and attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in similar roles within the IT industry
  • Project Management Qualifications
  • Accounting qualifications
