Claims Specialist - Reinsurance

Our client, a global reinsurance business, is looking for a talented Claims Specialist to join their team. In this role you will both manage claims, implement process improvements and build strong client relationships. Despite the times and COVID-19, this is a business which is growing on the back of the innovative solutions they provide and truly customer centric approach they take.

You will be joining an experienced and dedicated group of claims professionals who have a shared goal to produce high quality work and an exceptional client experience.


  • Proactively manage a portfolio of claims (both retail and group) collaboratively with your allocated clients (life insurers)
  • Provide training, mentoring and consulting around operational improvement activities and provide wider market insights
  • Analyse claims data to provide risk management insights and identify future risks and opportunities
  • Work closely with your clients to help guide them to help achieve strategic goals around claims management
  • Proactively engage with and influence stakeholders to ensure compliance with claims guidelines and controls

Experience required:

  • Experience in life insurance claims and a strong knowledge of the current regulatory landscape
  • Industry knowledge of group and retail products and current trends in the market
  • A track record of success and influencing and rapport building in previous roles
  • A strong understanding of internal & external dispute resolution; the role of rehabilitation/return-to-work in the management of disability claims
