About the Opportunity

There are two positions available within Consumer and Business Services for the role of Team Leader, Service Delivery. These positions will be responsible for leading staff within two separate branches, with a primary focus on:

  • business process improvement,
  • leadership,
  • coaching,
  • fostering a positive culture; and,
  • training and development.

The Team Leaders will also assist with the more complex and difficult client matters, including interpretation and application of legislation, and will need to build good working relations with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference to our business; seeking out innovative solutions, providing supervision, leadership, coaching and direction to team members and ultimately, ensuring timely, high-quality consistent advice is provided to CBS customers.

Consumer and Business Services (CBS) wants to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in managing operations within a customer centric service environment;
  • Proven ability in leading and working collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to and encouraging a culture of teamwork, service delivery excellence and a shared responsibility for achieving results;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, providing a sense of direction, influencing and motivating others to work towards common goals;
  • Proven ability to solve problems, think creatively and laterally, exercise initiative and independent judgement in sometimes difficult and complex organisational situations, and;
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks, dealing with competing pressures, and multiple agendas.

About Consumer and Business Services

Consumer and Business Services (CBS) employs around 200 staff and our primary purpose is to facilitate business, protect consumers and record life events. CBS currently comprises eight branches, with two points of executive oversight.

CBS constitutes a large part of South Australia’s business/consumer regulatory system, and is the regulator for many businesses and professions.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

  • Out of hours work will be required during times of demand.
  • Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
