One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Energy sector, is seeking the services of an experienced Mechanical Operator Maintainer to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Site.

The main duties of this role include:

  • Support the Supervisor Power Station in the safe, reliable and economic maintenance and operation of generation assets under the control of Perth Energy.
  • Undertakes maintenance and operation of generation assets under the control of Perth Energy, as directed.
  • Investigates, reports and rectifies faults and abnormal occurrences.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements.
  • Provides technical and project management support to Supervisor.
  • Responds to outage and emergency calls

    Successful candidates will have the following experience:
  • Relevant Australian trade qualification.
  • Knowledge of power station equipment & integration with ancillary plant preferred.
  • Experience with energy provider, power station or similar role.
  • Current C Class WA Driver's Licence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present ideas in a logical structured way.
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills with an approachable, friendly and courteous 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong safety and compliance focus.
  • High level analytical & problem solving skills to identify & resolve plant faults/ issues.
  • Self-motivation, initiative and focus on continuous improvement

    Candidates must also be able to:
  • Operate from a Perth base and travel to other locations as the Employer reasonably requires.
  • Participate in an on-call roster where required, which may include out of hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Occasionally carry reasonably heavy equipment short distances.
  • Occasional hot area work.
  • Work with water, diesel fuel and compressed natural gas
