We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Safety Officer to join our Environmental Services team. The successful candidate will be required to work in a dual capacity, as such provide cleaning services across all areas of the hospital, pharmacy and Medical Consulting Suites as well as being required to complete nightly property patrols, escorting staff to vehicles, locking of hospital doors, incident reporting, and provide assistance to clinical staff for patient care when requested.
An essential part of this role is to be able to carry out physically demanding duties, demonstrate good communication and time management skills; possession of a positive work attitude and the ability to follow specified work schedules.
The roster for this role includes a variety of shifts including weekdays, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Current Security Officer Licence (Monitoring and Unarmed)
  • Previous cleaning and security experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Sound working knowledge of various commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Proven ability to safely operate cleaning equipment whilst using appropriate manual handling techniques
  • Demonstrated capacity to undertake the physical capacity of the role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate PPE and their application for use
