Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with Nomura Research Institute (NRI) to acquire Australian Investment Exchange Ltd (AUSIEX), the wholesale arm of the CommSec business. AUSIEX currently trades under the brand name CommSec Adviser Services.

The acquisition offers AUSIEX a real opportunity to build an independent Fintech business focussed on delivering long-term value for institutional and advised clients. NRI have great ambitions to grow the business and is focused on empowering its employees.

This role will work in the AUSIEX business, you will initially be employed by the CBA Group but, at the time of sale completion, your employment will transfer to NRI.

Joining at an exciting time you will have the ability to support and shape the HR function as an integral part of the AUSIEX business.

You will work closely with the Head of Human Resources and HR team in shaping and delivering on a full range of HR services required for a standalone business.

Do work that matters

  • Perform analysis and data entry for the organisation's HRIS to assist in ensuring high quality HR data and employee files.
  • Configuration of the company’s HRIS to reflect agreed policy and processes.
  • Ensure timely updates of organisational training records and producing monthly and yearly training reports.
  • Collate and document employee information, performance reviews and contracts.
  • Work with payroll team to resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Support Head of HR with a variety of HR metrics for board reporting.
  • Provide HR policy advice to the business.
  • Coordinate Talent Acquisition administrative activities.
  • Deliver HR tasks as required including administration support to Head of HR.
  • Be an active and contributing HR team member, collaborating across HR and the business to share insights, knowledge and resources.

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess

  • Expertise in managing HR system/s and employee data to an exceptional standard.
  • Effective written and report presentation skills including experience in workforce reporting.
  • Task oriented.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Adaptable and learning oriented.
  • Experience in operationalising policies and processes.
  • At least 3-5 years of HR Administrator/Advisor experience in a busy environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field (desirable).
