We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll specialist to take on a 12 month contract, playing an integral role in a new payroll system project, as well as coordinate day to day payroll operations.

A Day in the Life of our Payroll Coordinator

Supporting a complex employee group, who sit under 6 Modern Awards, you handle many different areas and challenges, big and small! You will coordinate the fortnightly pay run for around 200 employees, which consists of salary packaging, online timesheets and ad hoc changes. Responding to employee and manager queries in a friendly and informative manner is a regular part of your day.

Joining the team at an exciting time as we head into the implementation and rollout of a new payroll system, you will be supporting data builds, design and testing.

Luckily you will be working alongside our current Payroll Coordinator until January 2021, when she heads off on parental leave.

Who Are You?

You will have gained valuable experience as a Payroll Officer, Coordinator or similar. Coordinating regular pay runs, responding to queries and regulatory updates will be something you’ve managed before. With your amazing attention to detail, you will be able to manage information and data from a variety of sources and ensure everything reconciles.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager – Finance and work within the Finance team, also working closely with the People and Quality team. You will enjoy a team environment but be able to put your head down and focus, working autonomously and productively.

If you have worked with Micropay and/or have experience in a not for profit organisation, you will be at a distinct advantage!

This is a part time (.6 FTE), parental leave contract position based in Lilydale. In the current climate, you will be working from home initially. Your work pattern is flexible, with some required days of work to ensure timely payroll processing (Monday, Tuesday and Friday).
